Well, here are the very first pictures of our two new puppies, Archie and Angus, the Cairn Terriers, in amongst their litter brothers and sisters (and glimpses of mum) - see if you can pick them out from these bundles of fur!!! They were born on 20th August 2007. The pictures were taken by their breeders, Dawn Inett & Rosemary Harrison (Carradine) and by us when we visited. This page tracks their very first few weeks before arriving with us and is being built as we wait for their arrival, so it really is being made as time goes by! Now the boys are safely home with us and settling in to their new lives, and we're settling in to our new lives with them too! The first is the litter the day they were born...
This is of the puppies at one week old, growing nicely and being well looked after by their mum, Maddie...
The next picture is of the four boys from the litter, two of which we had to choose from and who eventually became Archie and Angus!
This is one of the puppies at just 3 weeks old, with eyes just opened and getting used to the world!!...
And then we have the first photo taken by us when we went to visit the new pups - just coming up to 4 weeks old. 'Walking' was a bit difficult for them at this age - they sort of stumbled their way around the pen, not quite knowing where they were going! We had a little cuddle and first look at the 4 boys. We're going to wait until we see them again at 7 weeks before we make any firmer decisions about which ones will be coming home with us. In the meantime, we're getting the house 'puppy proofed', beds, bowls and toys are being purchased and we're getting more and more excited that they will be with us in a matter of weeks!!!
The final pictures on this page are the boys coming up to 6 weeks, getting more like little doggies and cuter by the day!
This is a picture of 3 dogs...
And a single puppy...
