Thank you for such a lovely reminder of just how "great" our danes can be. I am so sorry for your recent loss of Harvey. We now live with our 5th and 6th dane(1 is never enough!)Holidanes Boris The Bold and his son Brutis and I wouldn't swap them for the world.

Hi Nick & Gerry,

Really sorry to hear about Harvey, we lost our Cleopatra a beautiful fawn great dane to bone cancer on the 5th June 2007, she was 8 and we miss her dearly. Cleo was our second great dane, Bodacia lived to 13 years a wonderful brindle; we always say as in the words of the song 'There is nothing like a dane'!

Nick,Gerry, I just wanted to say that Harvey was a very lucky boy to have owned the pair of you. He had you both well trained in months and made sure that you only took him to the best places and that you spent all your spare time pandering to his every need which is very desirable! Harvey couldn't have picked better and believe me, I really do think that these puppies pick their owners! He gave you his all and it was unconditional and may you both laugh and cry when you scroll through the many memories. Thinking of you all, Marilyn xxxxx

What a fabby site. Love your dog. We have a blue harl, Manny and a Boston, Ted. It is so good to have someone tell the joys of Dane ownership, warts and all.
