IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE INFORM READERS OF THIS WEBSITE THAT WE LOST HARVEY ON 4TH JUNE 2007, AT THE TENDER AGE OF 3 AND A HALF. HE WAS PUT TO SLEEP FOLLOWING COMPLICATIONS RELATED TO HIS EPILEPSY WHICH WAS AFFECTING HIS CO-ORDINATION AND HE WAS FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO WALK. ON VETERINARY ADVICE AND TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION HIS RECENT OPERATION FOR BLOAT AND EPILEPSY, WE DECIDED TO 'CALL IT A DAY' - A DECISION THAT WE DID NOT TAKE LIGHTLY. HE WAS SUCH A LOVELY AND VERY SPECIAL DOG AND HIS LOSS HAS LEFT A HUGE PART OF OUR LIVES MISSING. SLEEP TIGHT BIG GUY XXX

Hello and welcome to our website. We are Nick and Gerry and here is the main feature of this site, Harvey!!!



We are very, very, proud owners of Harvey, the Great Dane. So why create a website about him? Well, Harvey is not the first dog we have owned, but is the first Dane and since his arrival he has become a huge (in many ways!) part of our life and has changed it for the better. We thought it would be fun to keep an update of our life with him and the many things we have learnt about Danes as we have gone along. We have also taken him into the world of dog showing, with some success and many failures, but it was all good fun. We certainly don't know all there is to know about Danes, but have tried to be responsible dog owners and particularly have read as much as we can, listened to lots of advice and taken a lead from Harvey in making his life, and ours, as happy as possible.

We hope you enjoy this site and it reflects the fun and love we have for Harvey - he is a BIG part of our lives.
