Our first Crufts with the boys!

March 5th 2009 - a day we'd waited for for nearly a year finally arrived! CRUFTS 2009 and our first with the boys! A 4.00am start, driving from Oxfordshire to the NEC. We arrived at the Cairn Terrier benches....

And unpacking all their stuff...

We were very early (as usual....) but soon the hall filled up with people and lots of dogs.

Waiting patiently has never been something we're very good at, and at such a prestigious show, the anxiety levels rose quickly. But a few coffees and toilet trip later (!) the judging started, with Yvonne Catto sorting out the dogs. A quick change into Crufts clothes (with some sparkles!) and before we knew it, we were in the ring. Both the boys were entered into Yearling Dog....

Thank you very much to Chris and Brett (owner of Fred, Archie and Angus' dad) for these fantastic pics.

Waiting to go into the ring...

So into the ring and standing the dogs for the judge....

Before we were being judged, the boys' breeder, Dawn, was showing Henry...

And then we were up for the judge...oh....my.....god...!!!

Archie was first up on the table...

Archie here shown on the run...

And then Angus was up being shown by Gerry...

Then after the judge had seen them individually, the boys stood again awaiting the result.

Here is Archie...

And a pic of Angus on the stand...

And the boys together - some wonderful pics of them...

And now getting ready in the final line up - Dawn, Nick and Gerry...

All the dogs were moved again before the judge made her decision...here is Archie again...

And the RESULT - places 1st-5th and Archie gets 5th place!!!!!!!!!

Nothing for Angus, but he showed beautifully and we were so proud.

Here is Angus congratulating Archie in the 1st-5th line...!!!

And after our wonderful success, Nick then took in Champion Glenchess Gabriel over Carradine into Open Dog for Dawn....18 Champions!!!

And Sam standing (he can smell those sausages!!!)...

It was a very memorable day and we had the best time - the boys did us proud and it will be the most special Crufts we will ever attend!!!! A good day....
